On the morning of May 25, 2026, at the Center for Information and Library, Da Lat University, in collaboration with the Vietnam – Bulgaria Friendship Association, successfully organized the Bulgarian Culture and Education Day Celebration and Vietnam – Bulgaria Friendship Exchange. From Da Lat University:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang – Vice President.
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan – Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang (Vice President of Da Lat University) extended a warm welcome to the delegation and emphasized the significance of international cultural and educational exchange activities in today’s integration context. The program is expected to serve as an important bridge contributing to the promotion of academic cooperation, scientific research, and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

Within the framework of the program:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thai Lan presented a keynote speech on “Bulgarian Culture, Education, and Slavonic Scripture Day (May 24)”—a special holiday honoring the Cyrillic alphabet, Slavonic literary traditions, and the vital contributions of Bulgarian culture to human civilization.
  • Dr. Oleg Svetozara Marinov introduced the highlights of modern Bulgaria and shared various orientations and potential educational collaborations between Bulgarian educational institutions and Da Lat University in the future.

The program featured several unique cultural exchange activities, including:

  • The screening of a Bulgarian movie with Vietnamese subtitles.
  • A visit to the “Bulgarian Corner” at the Center for Information and Library.
  • Musical and artistic exchanges featuring traditional Slavonic folk dances.
  • These activities created a vibrant exchange environment, helping the university’s lecturers and students gain a deeper understanding of Bulgarian culture and people. The event not only honored the unique cultural and educational values of Bulgaria but also marked a new milestone in the international cooperation relations between Da Lat University and Bulgarian partners in the coming time.
