On the afternoon of 28 May 2026, Dalat University welcomed a delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City for a working visit aimed at exchanging information on study opportunities, scholarships, and international educational cooperation.

Attending the meeting on behalf of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City were Prof. Dr. Lin Wei Chih, Education Counselor, and his assistant. Representing Dalat University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, together with representatives from the Office of Academic Affairs, the Faculty of Literature and History, the Faculty of Physics and Nuclear Engineering, the Faculty of Biology, and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Lin Wei Chih provided an overview of Taiwan’s higher education system, policies supporting international students, and various attractive scholarship programs available to Vietnamese students, graduate students, and academic staff. The information shared opened up numerous opportunities for study, research, and academic exchange at prestigious educational institutions in Taiwan.

On behalf of Dalat University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan presented an overview of the University’s history and development, enrollment scale, academic programs, research strengths, and internationalization strategy in the new development phase. The two sides also discussed opportunities to strengthen connections between Dalat University and Taiwanese universities and educational organizations through student exchange programs, faculty exchanges, scientific research collaboration, and academic cooperation.
As part of the program, the delegation toured the University campus and learned about its facilities, learning and research environment, as well as its key strengths in education and training.
The meeting provided valuable information on scholarship programs, study opportunities in Taiwan, and potential areas of cooperation between Dalat University and Taiwanese educational institutions in the coming years.
